POLICY

Introduction

At RK Construction, we aim to provide clear and transparent payment and refund terms for our clients.

This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which payments made for construction, renovation, design, consultation or related services may be refunded.

Advance Payments

Construction projects may require an advance payment before work begins. Advance payments may be used to reserve resources, arrange labour, purchase materials, prepare the site or begin project-related activities.

The refundability of an advance payment will depend on the agreed terms of the individual project.

• Advance payment terms will be communicated before the project begins.
• Amounts already committed to approved project expenses may not be refundable.
• Any refund will be assessed according to the applicable project agreement.

Refund Eligibility

A refund may be considered where applicable when services have not yet been performed and no non-refundable expenses or commitments have been incurred.

Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis with reference to the relevant quotation, agreement and payment terms.

Possible Refund Situations

• Duplicate payment made by mistake.
• Payment received in excess of the agreed amount.
• Cancellation before substantial project work or approved purchases have commenced, where permitted by the project agreement.

Non-Refundable Amounts

Certain amounts may be non-refundable because they have already been spent, committed or incurred for the project.

• Materials already purchased specifically for the project.
• Labour or services already performed.
• Transportation or delivery charges already incurred.
• Third-party service charges.
• Approved design, planning or consultation work already completed.
• Other costs expressly identified as non-refundable in the project agreement.

Project Cancellation

If a client decides to cancel a project after work has commenced, the refund amount, if any, will be determined based on the work completed and costs already incurred.

Outstanding payments for completed work, purchased materials, approved variations or other contractual costs may remain payable after cancellation.

Materials & Purchases

Construction projects often involve the purchase of materials specifically selected or ordered for a particular project.

Once materials have been purchased, delivered, customized or used for the project, the related amount may not be refundable.

Where a supplier permits cancellation or return, any applicable refund will be subject to the supplier's terms and conditions.

Overpayments

If a client accidentally makes a payment greater than the amount due, the excess amount may be refunded after verification.

The refund may be made using the original payment method where reasonably possible, subject to applicable payment-processing requirements.

Refund Processing

Once a refund has been approved, RK Construction will initiate the refund through the applicable payment method.

• Refunds may require verification of payment details.
• Processing time may vary depending on the payment provider or bank.
• Bank or payment-provider processing times are outside our direct control.
• Any applicable transaction or third-party charges may be deducted where permitted and previously disclosed.

Exceptions

Certain projects or services may have specific refund terms that differ from this general policy.

Where a signed agreement, quotation or work order contains specific refund or cancellation provisions, those provisions will apply to the relevant project.

Nothing in this policy is intended to restrict any consumer rights or legal protections that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
